Project Scope:
Construction of a 330-meter-long and 15.5-meter-wide bridge over the Sava River
Manufacturing and assembly of 5,500 tons of steel components
This major infrastructure project was built over the Sava River in Serbia, connecting the Sremska Rača region to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project was executed by Roads of Serbia, under the Serbian Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure, with Taşyapı İnşaat Taahhüt Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş. as the main contractor. The steel components of the bridge were manufactured and assembled by DOKA , while the fabrication and assembly inspections were carried out by Türk Loydu. The project commenced in June 2020 and was successfully completed on September 4, 2021.
The steel components of the bridge were produced at DOKA Sakarya facility and were shipped to the site after undergoing detailed pre-assembly processes. The manufacturing and assembly inspections were conducted under the EN 1090-2 EXC4 standard by Türk Loydu. The project was completed within an impressive timeline of only 11 months, providing a significant contribution to Serbia's infrastructure.
The Sremska Rača Sava Bridge enhances connectivity between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, supporting the region’s economic and social development. As part of the Sarajevo-Belgrade Highway Project, the bridge also facilitates increased trade and tourism between the two countries.
With the completion of this project, Serbia's transportation infrastructure has been significantly improved, enhancing the efficiency of regional logistics networks.
